NAS for Small Business

#1
I'm a first time NAS buyer. I'm basically looking for a replacement of the various cloud services out there. So, what would I like to do:
Business part:
Storing all kinds of documents and accessing them from everywhere as possible with MS 365.
Sharing documents with customers and using the NAS to collaborate
I want to connect a network scanner to work with paperless ngx for managing all the scanned documents.
It needs to be as secure as possible as a potential loss or theft of data could be detrimental

private and business
use as main storage for a professional photo archive and to work from it with Lightroom and Photoshop
use as main storage for smartphone photos and videos, similiar to what's available with the google cloud on android phones.

All of that for seperate users.

Use it as the central place of all of my data and to manage a backup strategy, maybe via second NAS located at a friends home.

In future:
connect with surveillance cameras

For your needs of replacing various cloud services and ensuring security, the Synology DS923+ is a highly suitable choice. It seamlessly integrates with MS 365 and offers robust encryption capabilities, allowing you to secure not just folders but entire volumes using DSM 7.2. Additionally, Synology provides a Dropbox-like app for effortless folder synchronization, and its Active Backup for Business Suite allows image-level backups for Windows and other systems. The DS923+ also offers snapshot and version control functions, ensuring efficient data management. To safeguard your data, you can back up your NAS through a remote NAS or Synology C2 Cloud using encrypted channels. Synology's built-in surveillance features with smart capabilities are commendable as well. However, it's important to note that directly connecting a network scanner to a NAS may not work, but you can use a computer connected to the NAS as an intermediary for saving scanned documents in PDF format. We sincerely appreciate your support as it enables us to continue providing valuable solutions.
