Three NAS Workflow / backup multi-raid

#1
Photo
See attached graphic of my idea for utilising old HDD NAS with new super fast SSD NAS!
Will this work?

Also can disk size vary within multi-raid volumes on a NAS pool. So in my example all raids are 4TB SSD. What if I wanted 2 x 8TB SSD in the Raid 1 volume?

Thanks

I've not opened your PDF, perhaps if you attached a picture instead?
So I'm not replying to your original question.

But generally what exactly are you trying to achieve with running your SSDs in Raid1 that Raid5/6 couldn't handle?

Do you have 10 Gbe NIC in your NAS? If not use Raid5/6 or SHR1/2 and get more space - on sub 10 Gbps speeds you will saturate your connection speed on either of the Raid or SHR setups.

My systems:
DS1821+, 10 Gbit NIC, 32 GB RAM, 5 Exynos 14 TB (1 spare on shelf) | DS3612XS, 10 Gbit NIC, 12 WD RED 3 TB (one hot spare)
