New Seagate Game Drive M2 SSD for PS5

I've just discovered that Seagate is offering a special PS5 version of the Firecuda 530. Here is a link to the product.

Basically it seems that this PS5 version and the Firecuda 530 are technically identical, besides the heatsink design. But this version has an optimized firmware for the PS5.

Do you have any information if this results in higher speeds or have you maybe already compared how both versions perform in a PS5?

You are correct, this is the same firecuda SSD. There is nothing that firmware can do to improve speeds.
The heatsink is the difference you pay for.
