Storage and memory upgrade

I have DS220 I need to add storage how do I do this? Can I use a larger tb? I currenty have 2-4tb inside. 1.5tb left. I need to add memory only have 2 gb ram do I only purchase synology brand or can I use more affordable version? I use Nas as a plex server.

Yes, you could replace each HDD - one at a time. Let it rebuild. https://kb.synology.com/en-uk/DSM/help/D...?version=7
RAM can only be upgraded on PLUS series models.
