Plex

#1
I have become confused by Plex. I have installed it via Docker and got along well.
I have created a folder call tvshows and have a few items within it.
So far so good.
Before I move my movies from my Mac to the DXP2888 I want to nail down how I can access the tvshow folder from my iPad before I share it (and eventaully movies) with the rest of the family.
I have had conflicting advice about the PUID and PGID which I set to 503 and 20 as I am on a Mac. Howver Deepseek tells me they should be 1000 and 100.
Is there a video on how to set the correct settings so that files can be accessed from Plex on an iPad or another laptop? Or some help?

For Plex access on your iPad, you should use PUID 1000 and PGID 100 for Docker if you're following common Linux conventions. The settings you used (PUID 503 and PGID 20) might work, but it's best to follow the Plex recommendations. Once that's done, you should be able to access your TV shows folder via Plex on your iPad or laptop.

You can find tutorials on setting up Docker and Plex access on YouTube or Plex forums to guide you through this process.
