Security NAS system

#1
Hello

I have been wondering about what sort of NAS would be the best chose.
I have viewed probably most of your videos but can't seem to find what im looking for.
What my need are:
* The possibility to sync photos and documents from iOS and Android.
* To stream movies to my Apple Tv (if possible)
* Local password manager sync to phone and computer (if possible)
* And now for the tricky part. A secure system with a non US, China (nor preferably not, but not a deal breaker Taiwan) manufactured or software develop . A system which will place security on the forefront.

Since this is for personal use the price will, unfortunately, always be a pramatar.

Thankful for any advice you might be able to provide.

Regards, Erik

The Synology DS423+ would be a great choice for your needs. It supports syncing photos and documents from iOS and Android, and you can easily stream movies to your Apple TV using Plex. It also allows you to sync a local password manager to your phone and computer, making it a solid option for managing your data securely.

Regarding your concern about the NAS being made outside of the US or China, most NAS devices, including Synology, are manufactured in Asia. However, Synology has strong certifications for both the US and Europe markets, ensuring that the system meets the required security and privacy standards. While there isn’t a cheap NAS option completely free of Asian manufacturing, Synology is known for its robust security, making it one of the best choices available.
