Home Office NAS with NVME or DATA SSDs

#1
I discussed Home Office plus Home NAS among friends and came up with needs and surprisingly found no product. A NAS built into Homelab, say Truenas over Proxmox with following features...high processor and RAM to handle both Homelab, office and home loads, works without airconditioner, low power consumption using NVME or SSD drives, has high capacity and is extensible by using an external chassis box (using either pcie or thunderbolt 4) holding more drives. Would like to see you discussing this on YouTube.

For a versatile and robust setup catering to your home office and NAS requirements, I'd recommend exploring QNAP's 74 series NAS models. These units offer a blend of high-performance processing, ample RAM capacity, and extensive storage options, making them suitable for multitasking, virtualization, and large-scale storage needs.

The QNAP 74 series provides:

Powerful Processor and RAM: Equipped with advanced processors and generous RAM allocation, these NAS units can efficiently handle multitasking workloads, including home office tasks, virtualization, and storage operations.
Efficient NVMe and SSD Support: QNAP 74 series NAS models are designed to support NVMe SSDs and traditional SSDs, offering faster data access speeds and lower power consumption compared to HDDs. This ensures efficient performance while minimizing energy usage.
Scalable Storage Expansion: With a flexible and scalable storage architecture, the 74 series NAS units can accommodate high-capacity drives and support expansion via PCIe or Thunderbolt 4-connected external chassis. This allows you to easily scale up your storage capacity as your needs grow.
Effective Cooling Solutions: QNAP NAS enclosures feature efficient cooling mechanisms to maintain optimal operating temperatures, ensuring reliable performance without the need for excessive air conditioning.
YouTube Discussion: Exploring a detailed YouTube discussion on setting up and optimizing a QNAP 74 series NAS for home office and storage use would provide valuable insights into component selection, configuration options, and best practices.
