Looking for a NAS

#1
I am new to external storage but PC hardware savvy. I need a fast external storage solution to host my Lightroom catalogs (50K+ raw photos and 4k video files. I am a amature photographer and I produce video content. I need FAST storage. Currently using 4 16TB Seagate EXOS drives non raided and they are a bit slow and do not fit in my PC case. Looking for a faster raid setup and an interface that can handle the throughput. I need speeds in the 300mbs or higher sustained. Too much for a 1gb network connection. I need options. Setup is for a single user I do have thunderbolt 4 on my PC and a 10GB router. Basically just need the fastest cheap option there is with some added speed and redundancy.

Considering your requirements for fast external storage, I highly recommend the QNAP TVS-h474 NAS from the 74 series lineup. With its Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and support for 10GbE network connection, it ensures high throughput, meeting your need for speed. The TVS-h474 offers four bays for storage expansion, allowing you to configure RAID setups for both performance and redundancy. Priced competitively, it offers an affordable yet powerful solution for your Lightroom catalogs and video files, making it an ideal choice within your budget.
