Hi NAScompares. Lover your work. Struggling to find best replacement for my NAS. My existing DS 216+II struggles even to run my unifi access point on Docker.
I am ramping up on usage, so will need it to support around 5 cameras, 3 unifi access points, 5-6 users accessing files and photos, and have an extensive multimedia collection. Would like to future proof it for handling 4k video files, so I was interested in the videos you've done where you warn against the limitation of the AMD chips for transcoding on the fly. However, I am not convinced by the limitations around RAM capacity of some of he older models with Intel Celeron chips. Do I just have to hold fire for now, or is there something suitable out there that will do the job for years to come.
Thanks!
