Snapshot replication still running days later

#1
Greetings

I recently returned from a trip and loaded about 30,000 photos to a shared volume. The NAS was off for 2 weeks before I did this

Settings are btrfs, shr, currently 52% used of 13.96 TB. Adding photos may have nothing to do with it.

For the last day and a half I have been getting the error

The system failed to perform scheduled snapshot task on ENC because previous scheduled snapshot task is still running. Please check the Log page of Snapshot Replication for detailed information.

ENC is an encrypted shared folder, but it seems to indicate the issue is with a previous snapshot.

The NAS will not shut down from the android DS Finder app. I have not done the DSM 7.2 update, and the only recent update was to Node.js but I noticed V12 & V18 are both running

I'd appreciate any advice on what to do, or which task to shut down

Best regards

Apologies for the inconvenience you're experiencing with your NAS. The error message you're encountering suggests that a previous scheduled snapshot task is still running, causing the failure of the current task. It's possible that this issue is unrelated to the recent addition of photos to the shared volume.

To resolve the problem, I recommend contacting Synology support directly. They have the expertise to guide you through the troubleshooting process and help identify the specific task that needs to be shut down. They can provide detailed instructions based on your NAS model, software version, and specific configuration.

UPDATE:

No need to apologize, it wasn't your fault, and thanks for the advice. I did actually find what it was, but could not work out how to tell you that. There was a hyper backup to a USB drive that was hung @ 52%. DSM told me it was still running once I dug out a laptop and connected and tried to shut DSM down. Lesson is the android app is a subset, and there are times that hyper backup just hangs with telling you ?

Anyway, on prime day I bought a new 16TB external. Hopefully that will solve the problem and also means I won't have different back up jobs running to different drives

Thanks for all the help and advice you and Robbie provide. I really appreciate it

Best regards

Neale
