QNAP Plex 4k

First of all, your channel is brillant.

I have a problem, I have a QNAP TS464, I've got 4k movies, I've uploaded them onto my File statiomn 5 and it appears in Plex media server, however when I view them on my 4k TV in my lounge room I can only view them in Standard Definition.

Have you covered this in one of your past youtube videos?

I have both my TV and NAS connected directly to my WIFI Router via ethernet, i'm thinking I should connect my TV and NAS directly to each other via ethernet.

It looks like your TV does not support this video format. Maybe try converting it into MKV or MP4 - whatever is the opposite that you have now.
You can also open plex server settings and disable transcoding.
