Would like information on Active Backup for Business supports backup of macOS devices. Is it ready for prime time?
More Mac users are purchasing NAS units. Now they have a reason to really consider a NAS and also have you clear up using ethernet or Thunderbolt 4 for backup.

Synology is a popular NAS manufacturer that has recently taken its first steps in developing a backup solution for macOS devices with the release of the Drive sync app. However, it is not clear how mature this solution is or how well it will integrate with other Synology products and features. As such, it may not be ready for widespread use at this time. On the other hand, QNAP is a different NAS manufacturer that does offer Thunderbolt connectivity, which can be used for Time Machine backups on macOS devices. However, it does not appear to have an "active backup" alternative available at this time, meaning that it may not provide the same level of real-time protection as some other solutions.
