Yes, these are very similar NAS systems. Even though Asustor allows 4xM2 slots. Qnap also supports 10GbE upgrade while still having M.2. Asustor requires removing M.2 card to do so.
Otherwise on the software side. Qnap is more advanced operating system. You will get more functions and apps.
Otherwise, for simple editing and Plex there is no difference between these two NASes.
