Are Synology hard drive suitable to use as surveillance

Planning to upgrades DS916+ and notice with the new Synology only support Synology hard drive. I use the NAS for data and video surveillance.
What type of drive should I purchase if planning to run surveillance which will be compatabile with the new 2025NAS.
Will synology make toshiba S300 video drives compatible with the new 2025 NAS.
