10gbe on synology though the pcie on synology ds920+

If you are willing to cut your case then most likely you would be willing to flip you NAS upside down (m.2 slots up).  I ran my NAS upside down with a $9 "PCI-E 4X to M.2 NGFF Adapter Card M.2 Key M Transfer Card 4X Signal M2 Card NVME" from amazon. I plugged my card directly in the adaptor and it worked (after installing drivers). I ran my NAS like this for 6 months. I got the idea from this a guy; search YouTube for "百元级小魔改，让群晖DS 920+也能用上10G 5G网卡".
