Help with QNAP TS-462

#2
Thank you for the kind words! I'm really glad the videos have helped you so far.

For your QNAP TS-462, it sounds like you're on the right track with using Qfile Pro for syncing your photos and data. Let’s tackle your questions:

1. Mobile Qfile Pro Configuration
First, make sure that the Qfile Pro app is properly installed on your phone and you’ve logged in with the correct credentials for your QNAP device.

Ensure that the QNAP NAS is connected to the same local network as your phone if you're trying to sync files over LAN.

If you're trying to access it remotely (outside your home network), you’ll need to set up QNAP's myQNAPcloud service or enable port forwarding on your router to access the NAS.

2. Ports Connection and HTTPS
You need to make sure that the necessary ports are forwarded on your router. For secure HTTPS access, port 443 should be open.

On your QNAP, go to Control Panel > Network & File Services > Remote Access > myQNAPcloud to configure remote access via the internet. This will give you a URL you can use to access the NAS securely from anywhere.

3. SSL Certificate
SSL certificates are not strictly required for secure connections, but they are highly recommended to encrypt the data transferred between your devices and the NAS, especially if you're accessing it remotely.

You can use Let's Encrypt (a free SSL certificate provider) directly from the QNAP interface. Just go to Control Panel > Security > Certificate & Private Key, and from there you can enable the SSL certificate.
