NAS as a DAS?

Hey Jeff, it’s not silly at all! The Ugreen 4-bay NAS can be used as a DAS for your Mac mini M1, as long as it supports USB connection (which most do). If you're only planning to access media at home, a DAS might be more straightforward, especially if you're looking for faster speeds and simpler setup. However, a NAS gives you more flexibility for future needs like remote access. It depends on your long-term goals, but either option should work for Plex and Apple TV!
