In RAID 5, all drives must operate at the capacity of the smallest drive in the array. If the system accepts the 20TB drive, it will likely treat it as an 18TB drive, effectively wasting the extra 2TB of capacity. However, this assumes the RAID controller can handle the drive without errors.
