The Minisforum N5 Pro looks great - but if I can't wait what DIY alternative ?

Since I posted, I've made some progress on retiring some of my old  PCs that I built as backup and chia farms. I've also been freeing up some drives on the QNAPs ready to retire at least the TS-509Pro. 

I think the N5 Pro will fit in nicely as centralized video, photo storage and synchronization hub. 
I need to look into optimal Adobe Lightroom setup - my new PC will have "working" version of photo library - I'm going to have enough fast local storage for fast AI/facial recognition across 20 years of photos and videos. 

But then I want other machines to be able to access the same library and same catalog updates from across network or remotely. And I will do that via a copy stored on N5 Pro which will periodically gets synced to the working version on my PC.
