Adding an SATA power connector to my NAS?

#3
I have the same issue. I added an expansion card to my TVS-473e that has an optional power connector. So far, the card is functioning fine without the optional power connected.

I understand that the NAS is designed and built with an adequate power supply that might not support powering an expansion card optional power connector.

Still, I am curious and interested in finding a way to add an additional power connector to the NAS's wiring harness. I do not have the NAS documentation to confidently chose the correct wires to splice in a connector.

Therefore, I am hoping to find a plug adapter that could be inserted at an existing connection that would serve as a splicer that would add the additional power plug. I am not finding any adapter insert plugs for this purpose. (Maybe I just do not know the correct describers to use in the search?)

Can anyone suggest a source?
