Selecting a NAS

#2
The Synology DS224+ is actually a solid choice for streaming 4K HDR content to your OLED TV and projector. The Intel Celeron processor inside should handle Plex or Jellyfin just fine for streaming, even with larger file sizes like your 40GB 4K HDR movies. It’s capable of 4K transcoding, but since you're streaming directly to your TV and projector (which likely support 4K HDR natively), you won’t need to worry about transcoding much, which is great for performance.

With 8TB of storage (2x4TB Seagate IronWolf HDDs), you’ll have plenty of space to store a decent number of movies, and Seagate IronWolf drives are well-suited for NAS use. If you plan on expanding your storage in the future, the DS224+ has room for more drives, so you can scale up when needed.

This setup should meet your needs comfortably, as long as you're primarily streaming locally without heavy multitasking on the NAS.
