I would recommend something with a Celeron chip such as and older ds1520+ or DS423+. But if you need an 8 bay and a transcoding feature then Qnap tvs-h874 would be the best choice. It also supports GPU card upgrades. Synology DS1821+ only support 1080p video transcoding.
