Hi,
I'm looking for two NAS'es.
I'm a photo and video grapher. Currently looking to make my workflow better.
The workflow I'm looking at
Project on external SSD manually back-up to NAS 1
NAS 1 automatically syncs/mirrors to NAS 2
NAS 1 at home (in RAID 5)
NAS 2 at location of family member
Need to be able to browse my files on NAS 1, to find folder or files.
NAS 2 is just meant as a back-up of NAS 1.
Question, can NAS 2 be smaller in storage size?
For instance NAS 1 36TB with less than 12TB files stored.
Can NAS 2 be 12TB?
Currently at around 6TB of files.
12TB would be a minimum.
My computer is a MacBook Air M1, might add a Mac desktop in a year or two.
As I'm currently on a laptop, transfer of files to NAS only wirelessly. No cable, this is the reason I'm looking at NAS.
Thanks,
Regards
