Hello there! A quick query about possible problem if I upgrade my DS1621+ to DSM7.2. I use my old DS415play with Cyberbackup Vault to back up my main NAS. The old DS415play isn't currently compatible with DSM7.2 and may never be. I'm unsure whether the Backup Vault 3.02 on the DS415play will be compatible with the v4 that comes with DSM7.2 should I upgrade my DS1621+. The release notes for Cyberbackup Vault 3.02 doesn't fill me with confidence. Should I hold off upgrading DSM on my DS1621+ until I replace the old DS415play with something DSM7.2 compatible? Thanks!

Thank you for reaching out with your question. It's important to consider compatibility when upgrading your NAS and ensuring that all your backup solutions continue to work seamlessly. Unfortunately, it seems that the older DS415play may not be compatible with DSM7.2, causing potential issues with the Backup Vault 3.02 on that device.
Given this situation, I recommend holding off on upgrading the DSM version on your DS1621+ until you can replace the DS415play with a model that is fully compatible with DSM7.2. This way, you can avoid any potential compatibility problems and maintain a reliable backup solution.
As an alternative, you can consider using the Rsync option to back up your data to the older NAS (DS415play) while you plan for the future upgrade. This should provide you with a viable backup solution in the meantime.
