initial contact/enquiry re: qnap configurations.
recently upgraded and already installed then re-installed with ZFS and now having to consider memory & drive upgrades.
This will possibly result in purchase of expansion QNAP device which it is now clear is on USB3-type C and not SAS 10Gb connected for the model that has been purchased.

I would set up both pools in RAID5. It is efficient and fast.
Also, ZFS indeed will require more RAM compared to QTS.
