I am an amateur photographer needing a reliable storage device big enough to accommodate 250,000 photographs. I am moving from Drobo to a new sysytem. I am 77 years old and note very computer technically literate. I would appreciate your advice on what system to buy that I can easliy transfer my images to.

How much storage did you have on the Drobo?
Are the photos in RAW or jpg?
Do you have the Drobo connected via switch to your home network?

I would recommend Synology plus series models such as ds420+ or ds1621+. It is easy to use and their software for photo organising is very good.
If you need extras like object recognition then Qnap TS-464/ 664 would be sufficient.
I hope this helps.
