Disaster Recovery

#1
I have a DS923+ with two computers and multiple smart phones on my local network. Do you have a best practices description for a disaster recovery plan. I can follow your description of USB Copy to backup the contents of the NAS. I want to know the best way to prepare for what happens if a fire destroys my home? I can buy another NAS, but how do I easily restore all accounts, configurations, and data (docs, photos, videos, etc.)? Is there a way to create some sort of boot medium for complete restoration?

If your NAS burns but drives are still OK, you can move them to a similar series NAS with a reset.
If you need to recover from a backup, you will first need to set up your NAS. Then restore data and settings from the backup.
Cloud backup to c2 might be easier but slower.

I hope this helps.
