Hot swapping drives

I have a TR-004 attached to my 464. I started out with an 8 and 2 18TB drives on Raid 5. I bought another 18 to replace the 8 to get more TB for now. When I pulled the 8 out and put the 18 in, after the rebuilding, I still had the same amount of storage. I followed the directions, what little there were. I looked around, contacted QNAP, no response. I'm at wits end trying to figure this out. Any suggestions?

Indeed, you've taken a step in the right direction by upgrading to a larger 18TB drive. However, in order to make full use of the additional storage capacity, you need to manually increase the volume size.
