Hello! Looking for a NAS as primary storage of RAW photos and 4K videos. I am often off-site and need to access it to upload to and stream media from. If editing can be done on it it's a bonus, but I can do it locally and upload the results. I use Lightroom for organisation and light edits, Photoshop for larger prints, and Premiere Pro for videos. I currently have only about 2.5 TB of data, so there's no pressing need for massive storage space and would rather upgrade when required. RAID 5/6 is required, as well as possibility to have cloud backup. Thanks!

Hi there! Based on your requirements, I would recommend looking into the QNAP TS-453D or ts-464.
The QNAP TS-453D is a 4-bay NAS that supports RAID 5 and 6 for data redundancy. It also features a quad-core Intel Celeron J4125 processor and 8GB of RAM (expandable to 16GB), which should provide sufficient performance for your needs. Additionally, it has two 2.5GbE ports, which can provide faster transfer speeds for your off-site access needs.
In terms of editing capabilities, the QNAP TS-453D comes with QNAP's QuMagie AI-powered photo management application, which can automatically categorize and tag your photos based on image recognition technology. It also comes with the PCIe slot for 19gbe upgrade. This would allow editing videos directly on the NAS.
As for cloud backup, the QNAP TS-453D has built-in support for several cloud backup providers, including Dropbox, Google Drive, and Amazon S3, among others. You can also set up your own cloud backup using QNAP's Hybrid Backup Sync application.
Overall, the QNAP TS-453D should be a great option for your needs, with its RAID 5/6 support, editing capabilities, and cloud backup options.
