Hello
I have Synology DS1821+ and I am running Plex with PlexPass.
I have 4K content mostly HEVC, HDR10 and in a .mkv container.
When I try to play on my TV (LG C1) it automatically transcodes video to H264. That is hurting the CPU so I don’t want to do this.
I find out that’s the case when I try to watch a video with subtitles on and when I turn it off it streams normally (without transcoding it).
I can watch English movies without subtitles, my sister needs English subtitles and my brother needs Slovenian subtitles because he doesn't speak English, so I need 2 subtitles in every movie.
What is the best option for me without having 3 editions of each movie with "burn in" subtitles?
Transcoding it all to H264?
Can you please help me?
Thank you for every answer.
Luka
