Synology DS1522+

#1
I’m looking to purchase the following NAS setup:
Synology DS1522+.
Synology 800GB SNV3410 NVMe M.2 2280 SSD
Synology E10G22-T1-Mini RJ45 10G Ethernet Module

Based on Synology’s HDD Compatibility List & excluding the Synology drives (due to cost), it appears the highest capacity choices are a Western Digital 14TB WD Red Plus NAS HDD or Seagate IronWolf Pro 12 TB NAS HDD. Which of these two HDD’s would you recommend?

I would choose non PRO drives to reduce the noise. Red plus drives are somehow softer on the ears. You can also have two seperate RAID. Dual SSD for OS and apps and some video editing and HDD RAID for less frequently accessed data.

I hope this helps.
