F4-424Pro TOS to Unraid

#1
Not liking the TOS5 and TOS6 isnt released for F4-424Pro yet in USA for download. So i'm considering a move to UnRaid. I am unable to procures a USB2.0 32GB Ultra Fit, best I can find at BestBuy is USB3.1 64GB. What process would I use to make this work?

It's understandable to feel frustrated with TOS5, especially when you're looking for alternatives like Unraid. The good news is that you can definitely use the USB3.1 64GB drive for your Unraid installation. Unraid can run off USB 3.0 drives without any issues, so you won't have to worry about performance with that drive.

To get started, here’s a quick overview of the process:

Download Unraid: Head to the Unraid website and download the latest version of the OS.

Prepare the USB Drive: Use the Unraid USB Creator tool to format your USB drive and copy the necessary files. Follow the prompts to create a bootable USB stick with Unraid.

Boot from USB: Once the USB drive is ready, insert it into your Terramaster F4-424Pro, boot up the NAS, and make sure to select the USB drive as the boot option in your BIOS or UEFI settings.

Configure Unraid: After booting from the USB, you can follow the on-screen instructions to set up Unraid, including assigning storage drives and configuring your network settings.
