Cannot access QNAP NAS after synchronizing RAID 1

#1
Hi,

I have a QNAP TVS-672XT NAS with two 12tb drives in RAID 1 for my Plex server.
I also have two 1tb SSD's which is where i install all of the apps and other files.

The NAS had been running just fineup until a couple of days ago, it is up to date with firmware 5.0.1.2248.
I had noticed the LED display was saying it was shutting down, i don't remember doing this but it was stuck like this for a day.
I was unable to log in via the web browser and QNAP Qfinder Pro was unable to locate it on the network, i had bookmarked the NAS when working but it is greyed out and unresponsive.

I had disabled the SSH option due to wanting tomake the NAS as secure as possible, the NAS is on a private network at home.
I pressed and held the power button to shut down the NAS and left it 30 seconds before powering it up again, then the atatus light was red.
The display said there was an error anda again unable to log in.
I found online that if i powered down the NAS and pulled the drives, i would then be able to log in when powered up again.
Sure enough i was and on the dashboard on there was on disk error in RAID 1, so iopened Storage & Snapshots, selected the RAID and then manage, selected recover.

The drive then turned from red to green and the background task manager at the top of the screen showed a job running, as did Storage & Snapshots, the drive was now synchronizing.

The background task manager showed it would take 26 hours which was fine by me if that's what it takes, i had the web browser open and left it awhile.
Suddenly the logging out window popped up and i was being logged out, it just stayed on this window for a long time, tried to refresh the page and then suddenly it went to a white screen with the following text: "Service unavailable"
"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later"

It has been like this for a couple of days and the LED display has been illuminated since displaying the name of the NAS and otherwise unresponsive.
The fan is spinning and every now and then i hear a drive spin up.

Could someone kindly tell me what i should/could do to get back to the dashboard or what the problem is please?

Kind regards

Can you ping the IP address of the QNAP TVS-672XT,....?

Are you using QFinder Pro,.....?

If the QNAP TVS-672XT isn't discoverable by Ping and there are no know error messages / LEDs you might want to try using another Ethernet port on the NAS if it would be automatically assigned a new IP address.  This assumes the QNAP TVS-672XT had a static IP in the first place.

Edit:

I should mention that I have had some odd things happen on my QNAP TS-653D NAS with the QNAP Firewall app.  After configuration of the Firewall all was fine for a while but at some point (after a Firmware upgrade) it would rebel and would interfere with normal use, ie I couldn't log into it.   There was a brief window when rebooting the NAS via the power button (presumably before the Firewall would load) that I could log in.  I basically had to spam the login.  If I missed it there was no way in sort of like trying to get into your PC's BIOS / UEFI. Finely I had to uninstall the Firewall app to solve the issue.
