SynologyAssistant for Mac?

#1
I ordered a Synology DS220+ after you you assured me that it would be able to host Time Machine backups of multiple Macs. (Thank you for your quick and clear reply.)

Now that I have the DS220+, I turned to your video "Synology NAS Setup Guide2020" on YouTube. All went well until I downloaded the SynologyAssistant app from the Synology web site.

It was rejected by Big Sur (Mac OS v.11.1) with the following messages: '“SynologyAssistant.app” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.'

I seem to be at a dead end.

What can I do?

Looks like Apple have made an update and have not added Synology to their trusted vendor list. They will change that soon then.In meantime, you can also use the internet browser to find your NAS or a mobile app.http://find.synology.com/DS finderhttps://www.synology.com/en-global/knowledgebase/Mobile/helpI hope this helps.
