#1
I would like to know the best add on card to facilitate an SSD on my NAS and recommendations on the SSD size and manufacturer, please nb that My hard discs are 8TB X 4 I have 16gb of RAM.

In your opinion is it worth upgrading to SSD?

If you have several users accessing similar data daily then an SSD cache would help. Also if you run things like Virtual Machines, docker, web server, and similar then SSD cache would be very beneficial. But if it simple file storage then M.2 SSD could be actually used for the storage instead. You can create a volume and install apps on this media. This would speed up their performance. Here is a list of cars you can install. https://www.qnap.com/en-us/compatibility/?model=443&category=11The PCI speed on this NAS is around 2000GB/s. So when choosing a card, make sure your NAS will actually be fast enough to take advantage of card performance.I hope this helps.
