Synology 1621+ drive compatibility?

#1
I have some 4TB Seagate Ironwolf drives (ST4000VN008) and i would like to put them in a Synology DS1621+ NAS, however they are not on the compatibility list as provided by Synology. Does it matter? I am pretty sure they will work but are there any other considerations to think about e.g warranty?
Thanks

Yes, Synology are far behind with their compatibility checks. The only thing you need to make sure is that you do not mix different type of drives in a single RAID (built the nd RAID) to maximize the performance.I hope this helps.
