DS923+ set up

#1
Can I test out the new NAS with a couple of old drives then remove them and start fresh when I can afford 4 larger drives? Just want to make sure the unit is OK before the return period closes and not cause any issues later.

Absolutely! You can indeed start testing your DS923+ with a couple of old drives before upgrading to larger ones. This method allows you to ensure that everything works smoothly within the return period while providing the flexibility to expand your storage later. Simply install the old drives, evaluate the NAS's performance, and if all checks out, you can replace them with larger ones when you're ready. This seamless transition ensures you get the most out of your DS923+ while accommodating your evolving storage needs.
