5g let business router

#1
Hello I am making enquiries into what I would need to purchase a business router run on an LTE system which would be ideal for not only standalone in a workshop environment here in the UK. I also would need it for travel purposes into sub tropical climates. to include African and Asian climates. and robust enough for a digital nomad lifestyle.

For your business router needs, especially with the flexibility for both workshop and travel use, I’d recommend looking for a router that supports 4G/5G LTE connectivity and can handle various climate conditions. Here are a few things you should consider within your £500 budget:

5G and 4G LTE Support:
A router with 5G support will provide better speeds, and having 4G LTE support as a fallback option is essential for areas with limited 5G coverage. Look for routers with multi-band LTE support to ensure compatibility across different countries.

Rugged Build for Travel:
Since you'll be traveling to sub-tropical climates and across continents, look for a router designed for harsh conditions. Some routers are specifically built to withstand temperature variations, humidity, and dust. Ensure the router has good ventilation and ideally, an IP-rated enclosure to protect it from the elements.

Portable and Compact:
For a digital nomad lifestyle, portability is key. Opt for a compact device that can easily fit into your travel bag while still being powerful enough to handle your business needs. Some routers even come with built-in battery packs for off-grid usage.

Network Security:
Make sure the router provides good security features such as VPN support, firewall, and the ability to set up secure Wi-Fi networks, especially since you'll be working remotely.

Battery Backup:
Some business routers offer the option to run off DC power or have internal batteries. This could be especially useful when traveling in areas with unreliable power sources.

Some options you can consider within your budget:

Netgear Nighthawk M5 5G Mobile Router (MR5200): Supports 5G and 4G LTE and has a compact design suitable for travel. It’s rugged and portable, perfect for both business and travel.
Huawei 5G CPE Pro 2 (H112-370): A reliable 5G router with LTE fallback, often used for both home and business use. It’s durable and performs well in various environments.
Zyxel LTE7490 4G LTE Business Router: A bit more geared toward business use with dual-band Wi-Fi and good security features. While it’s not 5G, it’s still a solid choice for LTE-based setups.
