How would you compare the “TS-664 with embedded graphics” and the “TS-673A with a good graphics card” for Plex and general PC backup. What advantages does either have over the other.
Thank you

Thank you for reaching out. Below is a comparison of the QNAP TS-664 and TS-673A for your specific use cases of Plex media server and general PC backup:
1. TS-664 with Embedded Graphics:
This model comes with embedded graphics, which means it has basic graphical capabilities suitable for multimedia applications like Plex.
With 6 drive bays, it offers ample storage capacity for your media files and backup data.
It supports Plex media server, allowing you to stream your media content to various devices.
As it lacks a dedicated graphics card, it may have limitations in handling advanced multimedia tasks or transcoding multiple streams simultaneously.
2. TS-673A with a Good Graphics Card:
The TS-673A features a good graphics card, which enhances its multimedia capabilities, especially for tasks like transcoding high-resolution videos for Plex.
Similar to the TS-664, it offers 6 drive bays and sufficient storage capacity for your media and backup needs.
The presence of a dedicated graphics card allows for smoother performance and better handling of multimedia tasks compared to the embedded graphics of the TS-664.
It provides enhanced support for Plex media server, particularly for 4K content or multiple concurrent streams.
