NAS Time Machine folder unavailable

#1
I have a new DS423+ with 2 8tb drives in SHR. I set up a Time Machine folder for my M1 Mac Air according to instructions on NAScompares. When I go to TM settings in MacOS I see the shared folder and I see that backups are current, everything appears to be running OK. But when I try to browse that folder so I can verify the backups actually work I don't see the NAS folder, only the original TM folder on a USB drive. I've asked about this at Apple community, at the Synology chat room and on the SynoCommunity discord but I get no answers. This is probably outside the scope of your free help but I have run out of people to ask and thought maybe you could point me in the right direction. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Thank you for reaching out with your question! It's great to hear that you've set up a Time Machine folder on your new DS423+ NAS for your M1 Mac Air. When you access the Time Machine settings in macOS, you should be able to see the shared folder, and backups should be running correctly. However, please note that the backup itself cannot be directly accessed by browsing the NAS folder. To verify the backups, you need to open Time Machine backup on your Mac, and it will display snapshots of previous backups for you to browse and restore if needed.
