DS723+ , (1) USB Port, need 2 for UPS and Drive

#1
Debating between the DS220+, and the DS723+.   The DS723+ only has (1) USB port, and I want to have a UPS connected to it, for automated power down, as well as a USB External Hard Drive, for backups.  It appears the DS220+ “has” 2 USB ports, whereas the DS723+ only has 1 USB port.  I’d prefer to use the DS723+, and thought “maybe” I could use a USB Hub, which would allow me to connect a USB hard drive , as well as the UPS cable from my APC Smart UPS.   Any thoughts on this, i.e., possible to use a USB Hub, to give me more than “1” USB connection on the DS723+ … ?  Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, you will need one of those USB splitters https://amzn.to/44AT5SW
This will allow connecting UPS and backup drive.

Ed - Thank you , I figured a simple USB splitter would work, but just wasn't sure it would work on a Synology NAS. --- Thanks for the reply!
