NAS Drives help

#1
Hi guys,
First I want to start by saying that your videos have helped me a lot with making the choice of what hdd’s I should go with.
So to give you some background on my system, it’s a I3 7100 with 16 GB ram, also I have 4x Iron Wolf Pro 4TB drives. I’m going to be using this system only for Plex and storing family pictures and videos. And I was wondering if I should do RAID or even RAIDZ, or do something else. I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me make that choice easier! Thank you

Glad our videos helped! For your setup with Plex and family media, sticking with RAID 5 and WD Red Plus drives should do the trick. RAID 5 offers decent protection and performance, while WD Red Plus drives are reliable for home use. With this combo, you should be all set for smooth sailing with your media storage.
