Nas Network setup - Enquiries - 10-24-2023

Just purchased the Qnap TS-873A bbased on watching your youtube channel as wanting to expand. Currently have a TS410 & TS412 on a 1gigabit network.
My mainPC has 1gig & 2.5 Gig nic
As i have quite a few 1gig hard wired connections i assume i would have to buy a 2.5gig switch.
As i like Qnap was thinking of buying the QWS-1105 5 port switch.

Now my question is, How would i set this up so that i get the full 2.5 from my PC to the Nas, still leaving all my 1gig connections to still have access to my nas.

Would i need the 1gig connected on one port of the Nas and then connect the 2nd 2.5 gig port to the new 2.5gig switch.
Just looking for advise for the best way to connect. tks

if i can give any more info pls advise

Each LAN connection has its own IP. Connect the 2.5GbE from the NAS to the switch and from the switch to the PC's 2.5GbE LAN, or you can even connect them directly, bypassing the switch. Then, connect the remaining 1GbE LAN connections in the same way to the switch. QNAP also supports a virtual switch using the ports at the back as a switch.
