Best 2-bay Synology for offsite backup - Enquiries - 08-07-2023
I have a DS1520+ with a total of 10.5TB storage that I would like to backup to another Synology NAS offsite at my brothers (I'm assuming the proper app to use would be Hyper Backup).
I'm trying to decide if the DS223J would work or if I should get the DS223. I would do the initial backup at home then take it to my brothers.

Both models will work as a destination server https://www.synology.com/en-us/dsm/packages/HyperBackupVault?os_ver=7.2&search=vault
If you want it to do few little extras then more RAM will be handy.
