Synology 220+ max capacity - Enquiries - 07-20-2023

Hi,

I'm at 80% usage on my 220+ Nas. I saw some reference that the 18TB Drive is compatible, but has it been tested? I appreciate this thank you!

Thank you for reaching out to us. Regarding your question about the Synology DS220+ NAS capacity, yes, it has been tested with drives up to 18TB. You can find the compatibility details on the official Synology website: https://www.synology.com/en-us/compatibility?search_by=products&model=DS220%2B&category=hdds_no_ssd_trim. However, it's worth mentioning that users often use drives that are not listed on the compatibility list, and they still work. In such cases, you might receive a warning that needs to be disabled. So, while 18TB drives are officially supported, you may explore other options if needed, but be mindful of the compatibility and potential warnings.
