I'm looking to move my cloud storage to a local option as I'm sure you know Google has changed their storage rates/policy recently. NAS and hardware are a whole new world to me. I feel like I'm shooting blind in the dark. I was looking at the DS1522 + Thanks

Yes, you could use ds1522+ for local streaming. But otherwise, consider Celeron-based boxes like DS423+.
