Advice? - Enquiries - 04-25-2023 Hello single user, home network Presently have the DS1515+. LAN1 is connected to my modem. Plan to connect LAN2 to my modem (link Aggregation) Can I also connect my Mac Studio 10 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45) port DIRECTLY to LAN3? (ethernet connection) If it is possible, is the 1515+ 10 Gbps capable as long as the cable can support that speed (Cat6a). Would this be possible or fraught with problems? Any advice would be appreciated TIA RE: Advice? - ed - 04-27-2023 Yes, you can connect MAC via 10gbe using your NAS 1GbE or 10GbE LAN port. Both will work. But you will need cat6a cable and a NAS 10Gbe card to maximise the speed. But also consider HDD speed limitations. SSD are faster. |
