Using NAS VMs for client chat - Enquiries - 02-06-2023 I have a business with multiple clients. Many use Teams for meetings, but Teams only works with one business account at a time. I tried running multiple windows VMs on my mac but they eat so much ram. Would I be able to set up VMs on QNAP and use Teams on each and still be able to use my mic and webcam? Thanks for your help RE: Using NAS VMs for client chat - ed - 02-09-2023 Yes, you can set up virtual machines on a QNAP device and use Teams on each virtual machine, but it depends on the hardware and the configuration of your QNAP device. Having multiple virtual machines running on a QNAP device can be resource-intensive and may require a powerful system with sufficient memory, CPU, and storage. To use a microphone and webcam on each virtual machine, you would need to ensure that the virtualization platform you use supports USB pass-through, so that you can pass the device through to the virtual machine. Additionally, you would need to configure the virtual machine to recognize the device, and make sure that the device is properly configured and working on each virtual machine. It will probably work with a single VM at the time. |
