NAS to buy - Enquiries - 01-08-2023

Happy New Year.
I have been watched more than 15 videos again and again but I am still so confused. I want to buy or build a NAS on my house. Mostly it will be for photos storage and used alternat9ve to Google photos especially using our mobiles. I will also use it for personal files and 3d drawings. Not sure if 9n the future I will use it also as a plex server f9r music videos or we.
I just want to be fast and keep my lady happy.
So far I have seen
Synology 923, 1522, 1621
Qnap ts664, ts453e
And I have found for really cheap on used market
Qgd 3014 pt for 700€.
I was also thinking to build one but probably this is not the solution.
As I see you are a pro on such subjects so please give me your opinion. I wouldn't mind to pull the trigger for something more expensive if it would be m8ch better solution.
Thank you

If you're looking for a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device to use as a photo and video backup solution, as well as potentially a Plex server for music and videos in the future, you might consider a NAS device with a powerful processor and plenty of memory for transcoding media. In this case, you might consider the Synology DS920+ or the QNAP TS-664 or TS-453e.

The Synology DS920+ is a 4-bay NAS device with an Intel Celeron J4125 quad-core processor and 4GB of DDR4 memory (expandable to 8GB). It has a user-friendly operating system with a range of features for managing and streaming media, and it has good transcoding capabilities for accessing videos remotely.

The QNAP TS-664 and TS-453e are similar 4-bay NAS devices with powerful processors and plenty of memory, and they also have user-friendly operating systems with a range of features for managing and streaming media. They have good transcoding capabilities for accessing videos remotely.

If you don't need to access your videos remotely and will only be accessing them locally, you could also consider other NAS devices, such as the Synology DS923+ or DS1522+ or the QNAP TS-664 or TS-453e.

In terms of ease of use, both Synology and QNAP NAS devices have user-friendly operating systems with intuitive interfaces. It may be helpful to read reviews and compare the features and price points of these NAS devices to find the one that best meets your needs.
