PLEX? - Enquiries - 12-31-2022 I have a Alienware Aurora R12 i7 32GB Ram & GeForce RTX 3060 which I currently use for my Plex server. It is also my at home computer for everything I do. I keep my files on a Drobo FS. I just purchased a DS923+ to replace my drobo and wondered if I should move my Plex server to the Synology? I currently just use Plex to stream my own movies and music. Thanks as always. Happy New Year! Phil RE: PLEX? - ed - 01-03-2023 Nothing works better then Plex server with a dedicated GPU card. But if you want to save on your energy bills, ds923+ will be cheaper to run. It will stream anything in a local network. Remote access will be limited to 1080p content though. You can also lin ds 923+ and your existing Plex server as an additional source for the videos. I hope this helps. |
